LIGO is the ideal solution for printing houses and digital print shops that need to manage the perfect binding of digital prints in-house. Using Taca Pro glue, it can effectively bind coated papers with weights up to 160 gsm. How does it works:
The operator sets the pitch, diameter, number of loops per piece and lenght to be bound in the computer. The machine automatically unwinds the spool, cuts the length to the set number of loops and carries it to the binding position. The operator then inserts the pre-punched block of sheets onto the waiting open wire comb.
Once inserted, he has only to push the footswitch and the book is automatically carried to the closing press, where it is automatically closed and ejected in to the box. There are no tools to change as the closing press is automatically adjustable for all the diameters and sizes.
